Dr. Mike, originally from Canton, OH, graduated from Walsh University in North Canton, OH in 2015 with a BS in biology pre-med. Following undergrad Dr. Mike pursued his MS degree from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated with a MS in Human Biology with a Neuroscience concentration in 2016. During this time, Dr. Mike experienced chiropractic care first hand when he was in a car accident with a drunk driver. Struggling to study for the MCAT, complete his masters degree and working full-time while on muscle relaxants and pain medication, Dr. Mike was looking for a different pain management option. This is when Dr. Mike first started going to a chiropractor.

This experience led to both a career and life change, instead of pursuing medical school following his MS degree, Dr. Mike decided to pursue his Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine, and graduated from Northeast College of Health Sciences in April, 2020. During this time Dr. Mike completed his clinical training aspect of the program at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in St. Pete, FL.

With Dr. Mike’s background in both traditional healthcare and chiropractic medicine, Dr. Mike was most interested in working in an integrated healthcare system.

Therefore, Dr. Mike completed a 1-year post-graduate residency in Integrated Clinical Practice Chiropractic Residency at VA St. Louis. At the time VA was the only healthcare system to offer an accredited hospital-based clinical residency for chiropractors. Dr. Mike is 1 of 90 to complete an accredited hospital residency program nationwide. During this advance training, Dr. Mike completed rotations in the ER, primary care, rheumatology, pain management as well as orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery. This advanced trained has well positioned him to manage and treat the most complex patients.

In addition to Cole Spine & Performance, Dr. Mike continues to work full-time as a Staff Chiropractor & Program Director of Chiropractic Clinical Training at the Orlando VA Healthcare System. Dr. Mike is also highly involved in NIH and VA sponsored clinical research at the Orlando VA Healthcare System.

Dr. Mike is proudly married to his wife Jess, a Navy Veteran, OSU Alumni and FSU Law student. In his spare time Dr. Mike enjoys boating with his family, fishing as well as watching football and soccer.
